Day 1: Christmastime in London

Ready for take off!

We are here! We made it to London late last night after a 2 hour delay in New York City. It was nice that we already knew how to use the Underground and after a little bit of hike were able to make our way to the Piccadilly Line for our one hour train ride to Covent Garden. Luckily, customs was breeze and our luggage arrived promptly.
We are staying at an Airbnb in the heart of Covent Garden’s theater district. We had used Google Maps street view to be sure we knew what to look for and easily found our flat. Directions to get in were very clear, so with little effort we were able to gain entry. Unfortunately, the flat is much smaller than it appeared online. It said 1-bedroom, but really it is a studio apartment with a separate kitchen area. However, as they say…location, location, location. We couldn’t be in a more convenient spot for catching the trains and getting around, so we will make do! Also, the bed was comfortable! We are very much looking forward to the next 16 day adventure and getting a taste of London at Christmastime!!
