Today we moved to our fourth and final island of our trip, Oahu. We enjoyed our final morning with Kat and Steven and headed to the airport, us to Honolulu, them back to the mainland and their final destination to their home in Florida. At the Honolulu airport we met up with Matt and Julie. We had a little bit of a snafu when we realized that Jimm had somehow lost his wallet somewhere between getting through security in Kona and getting to the rental car in Honolulu. We informed the authorities and are hoping someone turns it in, but we were able to cancel the affected credit cards and we have a plan for how we will get him back through security at the end of the week. We got to Disney’s Aulani Resort before 4pm and were able to get checked in right away. As Disney Vacation Club owners, I love hearing “welcome home” from the staff here. We were all very impressed with our ocean view from the 14th floor and quickly got settled in. One of our favorite restaurants from last trip is the Monkeypod Kitchen here in Ko Olina., which is just across the street., so we headed there for dinner. It was over an hour wait, so to be efficient with our time, we stopped in at the small market nearby snd got enough groceries and adult beverages for the next couple of days. We finally got seated and enjoyed a leisurely dinner catching up. All the meals were great with the exception of my margarita pizza which I would not recommend and would not order again. Jimm enjoyed his Bulgogi Pork Tacos, Julie loved her Monkey Business Saimin, and Matt was fan of his Fresh Island Fish Sandwich. The Mai Tais were also a hit. After getting back to our suite, we broke out one of our Escape Room games we brought with us called “Exit: The Abandoned Cabin”. Julie and Matt had gotten us a similar game for Christmas. We spent two hours solving the game with only having to use a few clues. Fun times! We are really looking forward to this week with our adult children and all the activities we have planned. Lots more memories to make! Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing women in my life who have raised or are raising children. It’s one of the most important jobs you’ll ever have.

Aloha! Deb
