Time to Celebrate! - Day 23

Anniversary Dinner at Roy’s Ko Olina - May 11, 2021

Day 23 was celebration day! Jimm and I celebrated our 14 year anniversary, Matt was celebrating 13 years in the U.S. Air Force, and we are all celebrating Matt and Julie’s belated honeymoon. We started the day off with massages at Thai~Issan Village Ko Olina. We had a little snafu with the reservation so only me, Julie and Matt were able to get our services, but they were great massages!! Then we headed to Zippy’s, a local chain we heard Hawaiians are hopelessly devoted to. They have a large menu and serve breakfast all day. I had the meat lover’s breakfast while everyone else had the Saimin, which they ate to the last drop! After dinner we enjoyed the Aulani resort for the afternoon. Matt and Jimm went out snorkeling in the lagoon again and caught sight of another green sea turtle. In the evening we headed over to Roy’s Ko Olina for our celebration dinner. We celebrated our 12 year anniversary at the same restaurant two years ago. The experience was just as memorable as the first time, but a bit windier! We had several appetizers, a number of delicious main courses, and the staff gave us complimentary desserts with words of congratulations on them. A great time was had by all. It has been such a joy spending time with Matt and Julie this week. I just do not get to see enough of them.
