Day 25 - Lake Como, Bellagio & Menaggio

July 16, 2023: Our second day in Milan took us outside the city on a bus tour to Lake Como, Bellagio and Menaggio. It was our first bus tour and our first trip with such a large group. We were not impressed. The locations were beautiful and the tour included two boat rides to get to Bellagio and Menaggio, which we enjoyed, but there was just too much time on sitting on a bus. Bellagio was our favorite of the three cities. It was fun seeing all of the gorgeous villas and the quaint little towns. In hindsight, we should have taken a train and then stayed in Lake Como for a night and did the tour on our own. Lesson learned!

After we returned from our boat ride we met up with a colleague of mine who I worked with when I was at 3M. He and his wife picked us up and we had dinner with a great view of the Duomo. It was great to catch up and the food was fabulous. I had the risotto and Jimm had eggplant parmesan.
