The Islands - Day 1
I woke up very early this morning, due to the 6 hour time difference, to the sounds of the ocean waves crashing the shore. If you have never been to the ocean, I suggest you add it to your bucket list, it is absolute heaven. It has a rhythmic pulse that is unlike any sound I have encountered. I always face the first day of a vacation with great anticipation. I am a planner by nature, so each trip we take I have thoroughly research, meticulously planned and carefully documented. I am anxious, in a good way, about the execution of the plan and to see if my “picks” were correct. Did I pick the right accommodations, is it in a good location, are the activities I planned going to be worth the cost, will everyone enjoy themselves, will it be memorable. It was dark last night when we arrive, so we could not judge the location, but the accommodations were as advertised. It is a beachy, VRBO condo with a loft. The kitchen was recently remodeled and the unit is brightly decorated with an island theme. However, it is the view this morning from our deck that confirmed I had indeed made a good pick. This will do nicely. Aloha everyone from the islands!
