Italian in Hawaii - Day 5

Caprese at Pi Artisan Pizzeria in Lahaina, Maui

Aloha! Our 5th day in Hawaii started with getting our COVID testing completed so we can travel to Kauai on Sunday. Quick nasal swabs and then we headed down by the waterfront in Lahaina. We found an awesome Italian restaurant called Pi Artisan Pizzeria. The food was DELICIOUS!! If you are ever in Maui, you need to check this place out. Great view of the ocean, friendly staff and excellent food. You really can’t ask for more. I had the Caprese which was recommended in the reviews. It had Pi Pesto Sauce, beautiful cherry tomatoes, blocks of mozzarella cheese, balsamic reduction, Hawaiian sea salt and basil. It was definitely a “not to be missed” food event. Paired with a nice Sauvignon Blanc and I was in heaven. Jimm had a pizza which he also loved. Following lunch we took a stroll down Front Street and did a little shopping before heading back to the condo for a little more time in the sun ☀️. We finished the night off with a few friendly rounds of the card game “5 Crowns”, which is a favorite of ours. If you haven’t played it yet, you should order yourself a deck (I added the link to Amazon). Probably our most played game. Hard to believe we only have one more full day on Maui before heading to our next island. Hopefully our tests come back in time!!
