Mountain Dining - Day 6
Last full day in Maui. Spent some time in our special spot by the ocean for a while in the morning before heading up to Kula Ranch in the Mountains for a late lunch. Definitely worth the drive! It was about an hour from our condo up the winding roads with scenic vistas along the way. They have these amazing blue flowering trees called jacarandas. See the itineraries and photos page for a great image of one of these beautiful trees. Kula Ranch has 8 person cabana-style seating nestled in the mountains. They make coal fire pizzas, Hawaiian raised cattle burgers, local fish and chips and much more. We sampled some of each and everyone was very satisfied with their selections. Yum! Then it was back to the condo for some more sun and Jimm got even better GoPro footage of our sea turtle visitors. The sunsets and turtle sightings have been a highlight of this week and a daily occurrence for us. We will be sad to leave the beautiful “Fish Condo” (which we highly recommend), but it’s hard to feel too bad as we are headed to Kauai for another week of adventures with our negative COVID tests in hand!! I will be sharing more posts over the coming days as we continue exploring the amazing state of Hawaii. Stay tuned…
